Stock Trading

Stock Trading

Lately I’ve been doing a little research about the stock market and so far I’m finding it to be very interesting. I purchased a book about learning to invest in stock, and now I am getting familiar with some of the basic principles. Many of my friends gamble everyday on lottery tickets, sports, cards, etc., but none of them are interested in the stock market.

Even though my friends are not interested, I am strongly considering stock trading. I have read quite a few success stories about how lucrative stock trading can be. Online trading is the best option for me since I am always on the internet. Firstrade.com has a lot of information about stock trading and IRA accounts .

Before I start spending my hard earned cash on purchasing stock, I’m going to make sure that I have acquired as much knowledge as possible. I understand that investing can be risky, therefore I’m going to take this thing one step at a time. If I become a successful investor, I will gladly share the information with those whom are interested. If you are an online broker and would like to give us your opinion, don’t hesitate to comment below.

Number of Americans Without Health Insurance Rises

Americans without health insurance in the United States rose by a record 8.6 percent to 50.7 million! Now, that is a huge difference in the “no insurance book.”

A study from the Kaiser Family Foundation discovered that the cost of health care is quickly rising. Employees now pay 47 percent more for coverage now than they did in 2005 while employers are seeing increases of 20 percent.

President Barack Obama signed a new health care legislation will eventually provide coverage to another 32 million people. However, many of the provisions in the law do not take effect until 2014.

SO, is health insurance on the job/period worth it to yu??

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick

Kilpatrick recently said in a released statement. “I am beginning anew. I am looking forward. I have new dreams and aspirations. I have a new hope. My greatest desire is that my testimony will give anyone who will listen permission to dream of greatness and to push toward it even in the midst of failure.

Kilpatrick spent 14 months in prison from probation violation. on felony charges from text message scamming!

But, that’s NOT it,

Kilpatrick still owes the city of Detroit more than $800,000 of the $1 million he promised to pay as part of his punishment for the text message scandal.

‘Confusion leads to violence between a black man and a Korean on a bus’

Seems like we as a people (not a black race, but mankind) have much work to do. That’s why it’s so important to have an understanding of cultures, and even take some foreign languages before visiting a culture that is foreign to yours. For certain things will confuse you, leading to some friction. Take this matter for example.

There was a case on a bus in Korea to which supposedly, this guy, who happens to be ‘black’ and a foreigner was talking really loud. The korean man told the girl who was screaming there (who’s his girlfriend), as you will see in the video “Niga Jom Joyonghi Halago Haejwo” ( “니가 좀 조용히 하라고 해줘”) which means “Could you tell him to lower his voice”. However, the guy, again whom happens to be ‘black’ began screaming and acting out because he thought the Korean guy called him a n*^@@er. Yet the truth is that in the Korean language, Niga (니가) means “you” and not the n-word so loosely used in America by many of our own people, despite the essence of it being derogatory towards ‘our’ kind. Again, that’s why it’s so important to know a little about the cultures to which you decide that you want to visit, as well as take up some language courses.

I lived in Korea for two years, teaching English as a Second Language. Though not required that I speak Korean, it was helpful towards building relationships with Koreans whom might not know how to speak English, or whom are shy speaking English to a foreigner. Having stated that, Niga in the Korean language is not a term used to call someone a derogatory name. However geomdong-i (검둥이), which means coon or darky is the term that a ‘racist’ Korean would use.

This is not a matter of black vs. Korean. However, it’s a matter of lack of understanding related to cultural differences and language.

Who Is Tyler The Creator: Best New Artist?

Who Is Tyler The Creator: Best New Artist?

So is this what hip hop has evolved to.  After so many conspiracy theories about rappers and secret societies, devil worshipers and hidden agendas, now the movement is more direct.  Instead of sending subliminal messages, now we have artist like Tyler The Creator.  An atheist rapper that doesn’t bite his tongue about anything.  Blasphemy lyrical content with Satanic symbols, the agenda is no longer hidden folks.  The devil is definitely at work!

The sad part about this movement is the fact that Tyler The Creator is actually a gifted MC.  His delivery is dope, he has lyrical content and character.  How the hell a hip hop artist win a VMA award without getting radio play in a city like Atlanta?  Is his radio rotation outside of the south that strong or is his Youtube campaign powerful enough to generate nationwide stardom?  I don’t know, do you?
