Jay-Z Gets Brotherly Love From President Obama At Made In America Fest

PHILADELPHIA — Hip-hop’s ambassador, Jay-Z, successfully launched his first-ever Made In America Festival on Saturday (September 1) in Philly, delivering on his promise to put on a buzzed-about show. Serving as the bill’s closer on day 1, King Hov flexed his executive power, sharing the stage with his Throne partner, Kanye West and ‘Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music family, as well as his Roc-A-Fella homeys Memphis Bleek, Freeway, the Young Gunz, Swizz Beatz and … President Barack Obama (seriously, the POTUS turned up).

The much-anticipated concert unfolded in the downtown area of the city of Brotherly Love, giving fans a day of musical performances from a range of acts that included Janelle Monae, soul singer D’Angelo, Skrillex and Jay Electronica. Day two kicks off on Sunday with another unforgettable lineup that includes Drake and Pearl Jam.
