South Fulton – Right Now
What I like most about Atlanta based rap group South Fulton is their strive to be successful. These dudes are always grindin it out. They are constantly promoting events, doing shows, recording new music, networking with good people, and of course, selling their music.
I believe South Fulton has everything they need to operate productively as an independent record company. Even though it is common to measure success by units of sells and popularity, hard work, nice quality and great content will take you to the promise land. Shout out to my potna’s Mr E, D – Bell, and the entire South Fulton Nation. Also, s/o to Terico Harper, I see you dude!!! Check out their new video “Right Now” and support underground rap…..
Kendrick Lamar – Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe
Who is Kendrick Lamar? Kendrick Lamar is the hottest rapper in the industry right now. Straight outta Compton, California, Kendrick is the biggest hip hop star to blow from the west coast since Game. In October 2012 he released an album entitled good kid, m.A.A.d city, which is now certified Gold and considered a classic to many hip hop listeners.
After releasing dope singles such as “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “Poetic Justice”, Kendrick released the video to the third single entitled “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”. The remix to this song featuring Jay Z is already on heavy rotation in Atlanta and has been for over two months now. Until he drop a video for the remix, enjoy the footage below and make sure to comment as well.
R.I.P. Chris Kelly of Kris Kross
I remember spring break 1991, me and my cousin Dee was in Daytona Beach, FL. reppin the ATL real hard. At the time we both weighed about 120lbs and we rock’d baseball gear, different teams tho. We walked the strip holla’n at gulz, drinkin, smoking, taking pics and the whole nine. All we heard bumpin throughout the entire weekend was Kris Kross. People don’t remember how big that group was back in the early 90′s. One thing I hate about the hip hop culture and the urban community is, we don’t pay homage to our artist from back in the day. As a whole, we only embrace what’s hot at the moment. Once the buzz goes down and the next trend and big star arrives, we leave the old stuff behind and seldom look back. R.I.P. Chris Kelly aka Mac Daddy! Live In Paradise my friend. S/O to Chris Smith aka Daddy Mac, Jermaine Dupri, and the whole So So Def team. Also S/O to Facebook friend LaSonya W. for the 411! Below is Kris Kross last big performance on stage together at the So So Def All Star 20th Year Anniversary Concert
Young Scooter – Columbia – Feat – Rick Ross – Birdman – Gucci
I never thought Young Scooter could get Rick Ross, Birdman, and Gucci Mane on this track together. Somehow, someway, this song is blowing up in the south. Whoever is responsible for breaking this song, I salute them. The hook is catchy and the beat is dope.
At first glance at this new song by Drake entitled “Girls Love Beyonce” I thought to myself, “another typical Drake song” smh. But then I pressed play and was immediately captivated by the production of this joint. The beat kinda gave me a r&b type vibe to set the mood while Drake’s rhyme flow complimented the track. I think this song is going to be an instant hit. Peep it yourself and comment below….
Juvenile – Good At What I Do
I almost forgot that Juvenile was one of the best to step in the booth. I didn’t expect this song to be jamming but after peepin the new video, I recommend that you listen to this one as well. Kidd Kidd and Skip also came with it on this joint. Check is out….
Remember when J. Cole murdered Miguel in his “Power Trip” video? It hasn’t been easy to shake that visual since the clip debuted on Tuesday, so it’s not too surprising that J. Cole’s management team was hesitant about calling up the “Adorn” singer to ask him about playing the doomed role. But at least Miguel was into it. Read the full story at MTV News or hear J. Cole explain in the video above.
Nicki Minaj is back with a new video entitled Up In Flames. She may have offended someone with this quote
“I’m ma violate ya asses like Cris Stokes”.
Cris Stokes is the music producer/manager accused of child molestation by former B2K artist Raz B.
Rick Ross Don’t Kill My Vibe
Rick Ross spits a verse to the hot song “Don’t Kill My Vibe” by Kendrick Lamar. On another note, will Rick Ross bring back Reebok in the city of Atlanta. It has been over ten years since I’ve purchased a pair myself.
Big Boi – In The A ft. T.I., Ludacris
One of the most slept on songs in 2013! Big Boi invited two of the dopest MC’s (T.I. and Ludacris) in hip hop to join him on this track entitled “In The A”. This song didn’t catch a strong buzz in the city of Atlanta, but I’m sure the true OutKast fans had this one on heavy rotation….
Check out this new video by Atlanta’s own Shawty Lo Dopeman .
Check out what T.I. had to say about not making the MTV’s Hottest MC’s list.
A good friend of mine posted his opinion on Facebook about a statement Rick Ross made in the song “U.O.E.N.O.” by Rocko. Ross said
“Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she didn’t even know it.”
I’m sure a lot of people have heard the song by now and his controversial lyrics are a trending topic in hip hop. Well, Ross spoke about the song in this interview. Check it out and tell me what you think!
To hear the song, press play below. Don’t hesitate to leave a comment!

Celebrities have been speaking out and blasting TMZ for its reporting about Lil Wayne. Yesterday, the breaking news outlet shocked the entertainment world by stating that Wayne was in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. They went so far as to claim that Wayne was in an induced coma and his last death rites were being read as doctors awaited for his mother to arrive and make final decisions on what to do with her son (which they later deleted from the article).
Members of Wayne’s camp, like Birdman and Mack Maine, shot down TMZ‘s claims and told fans that the rapper was “recovering” and Weezy himself later confirmed on Twitter that he was doing just fine.
Birdman tweeted, “My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta…be home soon,” but YMCMB prez Mack Maine had a few choice words for TMZ, criticizing the site for what he deemed incorrect reporting. “We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe…that’s false!!” and “#F—TMZ.”
Wayne’s daughter Reginae took to Instagram to share her thoughts, writing, “Don’t listen to The Lies, I swear there all lies TMZ you a fool 18h” while her mother, Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Carter, added, “It would be a much better world if people would stop and think before they spread RUMORS.”
T.I. also threw in, “Just holla’d @my Lil bruh Tunechi… he skraight! TMZ some f— n—-z for reporting that hoe-ass-sh–!!! That man daughter is like mines. That sh– surely got his mama hurtin, his kids hurtin, he got true to da game patnas like me Othas who ready to RIDE bout all da f— sh–. … #nowthankitsagamen—-!!!”
So, we guess there’s some trouble in paradise? Because these days you can always count on Twitter to let you know. Gucci Mane has apparently decided to drop Waka Flocka Flame from his Atlanta-based label and he let fans know via Twitter tonight, writing, “Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017. Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil n—.”
(Note: Gucci Mane referring to himself as Guwop). Waka couldn’t seem to help himself, when he responded, “Somebody tell Gucci Mane 2 SUCK A D—,” because he later deleted the message and retweeted a fan to explain that he wouldn’t be hashing their issues out on Twitter (“@WakaFlockaBSM Can’t tweet beef #HucciKnowHowIrOck” and “Can’t tweet jones about a n—- I’m a let a lame be lame”)
But he kinda seemed to have a sense of humor about it too, retweeting a fan who wrote this: “@Money_Ova_Men: So these n—-s @WakaFlockaBSM and @Gucci1017 having a “I HATE YOU BITCH” moment… Lol! LoL” and then he decided to throw in a lil jab anyway, with the inevitable joke. ”@elbrothabear shoulda known something was up with gucci when he got that ice cream cone on his face.”
No confirmation on whether this is permanent or just an outburst, because Waka still seemed confident enough to tweet, “We BSM.”
We’re sure there are more details to come. Things were all good just a few weeks ago when Waka was looking forward to Gucci’s upcoming role in Spring Breakers.
@ChiefKeef “Now It’s Over” music video Off his upcoming Bang Pt. 2 mixtape.
S/O to Pistol and Narleygang Db for this hot new joint entitled We On Go!!!
One of the hottest songs on the radio, shout out to Future for puttin down the amazing hook for this joint. Check out Bugatti by Ace Hood featuring Future and Rick Ross.
Freddie Gibbs Disses Young Jeezy
Freddie Gibbs signed with Young Jeezy’s CTE label a while back and things didn’t work out well for him. According to Freddie Gibbs, he and Jeezy disagreed with how his career was being handled. Gibbs felt that Young Jeezy was more concerned about pushing his own brand instead of focusing on Freddie Gibbs. Gibbs also disagreed with T.I.’s opinion that gangster rap is dead. This was a good interview, s/o to Freddie Gibbs, Chicago, and 107.5 WGCI.
Lil Wayne – Love Me ft. Drake and Future
Cash Money recording artist and Young Money CEO Lil Wayne has finally dropped the video to his new single Love Me featuring Drake and Future. This song is a hit and the video is fire, I expect this one to move up the charts immediately.
J. Cole – Truly Yours EP
The Roc Nation/ North Carolina representer dropped a 5 song EP (click picture above) along with this letter to his fans this morning:
I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .
Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..
The wait is over.
PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.
