United Serfdom- Cutting Foodstamps
Protests have been raging in North Carolina and its not Occupy. NAACP’s “Moral Monday’s” has transformed into a movement where hundreds have been handcuffed in the last two months in a show of solidarity for the countries poor. GOP have referenced the bible in their attacks on food stamps and programs for the poor. This has hit a chord in the black and religious bible belt of the south.
Contemporary GOP argue that the por need private charity, jobs, and self reliance instead of government handouts. This ignores the fact that their are a limited amount of wealthy donors(less than usual because of the recession and nearly stagnant recovery) and dollars as the price of living and food continues to skyrocket. GOP also ignore the fact that the jobs market is still recovering slowly, workers wages are at record lows compared to Ceo pay, and the workforce has to compete with a global workforce that can operate at a much cheaper man hour price.
The GOP wants to continue to give bush era tax cuts, while following the age old American policy of cuts to the nearly bankrupt Medicaid program,raise taxes on middle class families, and restrict access to the state run pre-k program. The NAACP has vowed to carry on the protests indefinitely until change is brought. The protesters know that change won’t be immediate, but they vow to continue to fight until the end.

In fact, from the moment Ceelo Green read Bieber’s name from the card and during his acceptance speech to the fans on national television, the cheers were over saturated with a massive amount of booing spectators.
The camera men did a great job by only showing footage of the supporting fans during the acceptance speech while Bieber put his foot in his mouth by saying “I’m 19 years old, I think I’m doing a pretty good job….. This is not a gimmick, I’m an artist and I should be taking seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of”. He really pissed the haters off when he made that statement. He does admire Yeezy’s work ethic as well as the creative space he gives his artists. Perhaps in today’s era of hip hop and Ma$e’s style, G.O.O.D. Music may well be the place for the Harlem emCee.

Race and ethnicity has always been a complex matter, especially regarding people of color, or BLACKNESS. There’s still that one percent factor. In other words, if there’s even a “pinch” of black blood in your DNA then you’re black. A huge factor during the African slave trade and still exist in modern society. Positive or negative? If looking at the current American president, Barack Obama, then POSITIVE, or NEGATIVE, via perception (good or bad), pride and prejudice. How about American professional golfer, Tiger Woods, who refers to his ethnic make-up as “Cablinasian” due to the mixed ancestry of his parents? When millions look at him, they see a black man. Well, not until his recent publicized scandal regarding an extra marital affair. Identification is in the number 1′s of problems regarding how people view themselves and others. Could there ever be one answer to define this matter?

To many, Thriller may have been Michael Jackson’s best selling album; however, it was Bad that gave MJ the King of Pop title. Michael Jackson was not only a musical influence to many; furthermore. he influenced choreography, dance, fashion, etc.
In this short documentary, Bad 25, directed by the great Spike Lee, fans get to witness unseen footage of Michael’s recording process for his 1987 iconic Bad album as well as be surprised to which songs nearly didn’t make the final cut for the album. Guest appearances includes people who Michael worked with as well as admired, from Martin Scorsese, who directed the Bad video, Siedah Garrett (Man In The Mirror, I Just Can’t Stop Loving You), Quincy Jones (executive producer for Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad), Cee-lo Green, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Questlove, Sheryl Crow (actress and former background vocalist for Michael Jackson), Greg Phillinganes (Michael’s keyboardist), Tatiana Thumbtzen and a list of others.

Look into the future of their money making show. If the show continues, the rating will drop tremendously. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians show executives may try to do a spend off, however that won’t last.
Divorce is terrible for any couple. With this, I present to you, Hollywood Divorce by Outkast.

What you must love about comedy is that it brings people together. Even two people whom have racial issues with one another could sit and laugh about the same things. Though views might be different, the FACT of matters are quite entertaining. That’s what’s brilliant about South Park as it takes the realities of life and poke fun at it. The latest episode was Obama’s re-election. The reality is, not every American citizen is happy about that, and for different reasons of course. Many are questioning the CHANGE Obama has supposedly brought to USA since former president George W. Bush’s eight years in office, except for the face of presidency, i.e. being the FIRST black president of America. Other issues regards the presidents “friendliness”, lacking firmness with China. And Comedy Central’s South Park addresses that. However regardless one’s views about the current state of America with Barack Obama in office, sometimes you just got to sit back, eat some snacks and LM@O about it. Because guess what? Like him or not, he’s NOT GOING ANYONE for FOUR MORE YEARS!

November, 2008 when then Senator Barack Obama was elected President of the United States of America in his win against Senate John McCain, had to be one of the proudest moments of modern black and American history. The face of America changed right before our very eyes and many were proud of being alive to witness something so momentous. Fast forward to four years later, the joy is much louder as President Barack Obama has been re-elected and will seat four more years in office in his presidency due to his victory over Republican candidate Mitt Romney. A joyous moment for many but dissatisfying for some, and a chance to ridicule, point fingers and make slay comments for others, not absent of Donald Trump.
When President Barack Obama won his first presidential run-off, there were comments such as “black people no longer have an excuse” and “Barack Obama is the black people’s reparation for slavery”. On one hand, President Obama’s win does indeed mean much for black people concerning American history in government. But does his re-election count for all this black? Not in my book. Though exceedingly proud, his win doesn’t change the hate in people’s heart concerning black people in general. Even the hate that “closet racists” have spill out, and will do so for the next four years. I don’t see society being less messed up for blacks than before anyone ever knew who a BARACK OBAMA was. The police will still hate us. We’ll still be seen as ‘N—gers’, even though our ancestors built the great country America with their own blood, sweat and tears. Job opportunities will still be at minimum for us, even if qualified. Sorry if I seem like a pessimist; yet I’m just stating the facts. If looking at what his re-election mean today, than I’d say, it means he and his family can enjoy the wealth of their ancestor’s labor. And though many of our black ancestors never stepped foot on nor off a slave ship, we share in the burden for the pain the was caused as well as the joy of what strength allows us to conquer.
Congratulations to President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Bidden and the Obama/Bidden family.

One would think that after age 18, or in many cases, 21, children would be about to make their own decisions and set out their own path. Maybe that’s true of most families in the United States of America, yet India’s a difficult culture, with a different set of principals, particularly in the area of marriage to which most marriages in the country are arranged. Most marriages that aren’t arranged are frown upon and could lead to serious issues such as family separation or DEATH even. The latter is something the couple (Rajveer and Madhuri) in the video fears, both coming from a Muslim and Hindu society. Though happy to be together, having married, they’re on the run for their lives, fearing being killed by the family, as the thought of one finding love on their own isn’t something yet grasps in their family and in much of the country. So they called the Love Commandos; a group of aging businessmen and journalists who began a movement to protect lovers from harassment by both Hindu and Muslim hard-liners, according to the BBC (Huffington Post).
The Love Commandos formed 10 years ago, and since then have opened up secret shelters to help rescue Indian couples, like Rajveer and Madhuri, who are in love but are in danger of being forced to marry someone else by their families. The couple escaped their village and made way to the Love Commandos’ shelter in New Delhi and married there.

Monti. In order words, Rod was saying that he’s tired of their bull…. Thankfully he has brother-n-law Kanye West to help him cope with his emotions.

T.I. Behind the Scene of ‘Go Get It’ (video)
Since his release from prison nearly 2 years ago, King of the South otherwise known as T.I. has been grinding and gearing up for the release of his ‘Trouble Man’ album which will drop soon, though without a release date. One joint from the upcoming album is entitled ‘Go Get It’ to which the Grand Hustle CEO is working on a video for. Much of the video was shot at the Mozley Park community swimming pool, which is on the West side of Atlanta, Georgia. T.I. says the concept of the video is about how he used to kick it to how he’s kicking it now, which you’re able to get a sneak peak of it towards the end of the video’s making, which would make sense to be the same for the authentic release.
