Mike Will Made-It “23″ featuring Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J moved all the way up to the #3 spot on the Top 10 Hip-Hop and R&B charts. Just in case you are late and haven’t peeped the video yet, view it below. For the Top 10 songs and videos click on Top 10 Hip-Hop and R&B
Wiz Khalifa is back with a new video “Paperbond”.
Remember Bad by Wale featuring Tiara Thomas? That song is still doing good numbers today. It gained major radio play, and even peaked at #7 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs. Well, now the remix is out. Wale’s new version of the song features the r&b mega-star Rihanna. I’ve been hearing mixed reviews on this song. Some like it and some don’t. I like it myself, but I think the original sounds better. What do you think?
Have you heard the remix to Kendrick Lamar’s Don’t Kill My Vibe featuring Emeli Sande yet? Ole gul can blow! I didn’t expect this remix to be much of a big deal, I was totally wrong about that. Overall, I think Kendrick Lamar is the dopest rapper in the business right now. Check out the live performance at Galapagos Art Space for Creative Allies in New York.
Big Boi – In The A ft. T.I., Ludacris
One of the most slept on songs in 2013! Big Boi invited two of the dopest MC’s (T.I. and Ludacris) in hip hop to join him on this track entitled “In The A”. This song didn’t catch a strong buzz in the city of Atlanta, but I’m sure the true OutKast fans had this one on heavy rotation….

Jennifer Lopez is back at it again, hitting the studio with some more stars while recording her 10th album. J.Lo tweeted last night (March 21) about a late night studio session with Chris Brown and producer Corey Rooney.
Jennifer tweeted a picture of her posing with Chris and Corey along with the caption, “#studiolife #makinghistory #Album10 #SAMEGIRL.” via the YBF Corey was also the producer behind her hit “Jenny From the Block” so it seems like J. Lo is trying to recreate some that that old school magic once again for her latest project. Corey tweeted “Shit got real serious up in here tonight…” promising J.Lo’ s next album to be something to look forward to.
In addition to enlisting Chris Brown, she also has the help of Future which we learned last month after she tweeted some studio pictures with the Atlanta rapper.

Seems like most members of the G.O.O.D. Music team are currently prepping new music. On Tuesday (March 19) John Legend dropped a new single called “The Beginning” via Twitter. According to Okayplayer, the single will be featured on his upcoming project, Love in the Future. This will mark his fourth studio album, which will see Kanye West and Dave Tozer as executive producers.
Legend also worked with Hit Boy, who produced his last single “Caught Up” (co-written by West) that will be featured on his forthcoming album. “You’ve been waiting long enough, this is just “The Beginning,” he wrote as he shared the track.
Next to his music, the singer seems to be all smiles these days. Last month, he showed off his new LA home with fiancée and model, Chrissy Teigen. In their interview with Architectural Digest, he described the style they were going for in their new digs. “Our style is chic and tailored but also earthy and casual,” he said. “Since this is our first home in Los Angeles, we wanted it to feel right not only for us but also for this city.”
What do you think about ‘The Beginning?’

Celebrities have been speaking out and blasting TMZ for its reporting about Lil Wayne. Yesterday, the breaking news outlet shocked the entertainment world by stating that Wayne was in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. They went so far as to claim that Wayne was in an induced coma and his last death rites were being read as doctors awaited for his mother to arrive and make final decisions on what to do with her son (which they later deleted from the article).
Members of Wayne’s camp, like Birdman and Mack Maine, shot down TMZ‘s claims and told fans that the rapper was “recovering” and Weezy himself later confirmed on Twitter that he was doing just fine.
Birdman tweeted, “My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta…be home soon,” but YMCMB prez Mack Maine had a few choice words for TMZ, criticizing the site for what he deemed incorrect reporting. “We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe…that’s false!!” and “#F—TMZ.”
Wayne’s daughter Reginae took to Instagram to share her thoughts, writing, “Don’t listen to The Lies, I swear there all lies TMZ you a fool 18h” while her mother, Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Carter, added, “It would be a much better world if people would stop and think before they spread RUMORS.”
T.I. also threw in, “Just holla’d @my Lil bruh Tunechi… he skraight! TMZ some f— n—-z for reporting that hoe-ass-sh–!!! That man daughter is like mines. That sh– surely got his mama hurtin, his kids hurtin, he got true to da game patnas like me Othas who ready to RIDE bout all da f— sh–. … #nowthankitsagamen—-!!!”
“I love him. He’s awesome. I don’t condone what he does … [but] as a person to person – he’s my friend.” – Dennis Rodman speaking about Kim Jong-Un
Did he really say that? Did Dennis Rodman really say that Kim Jong-Un is his friend? How did this Rodman-Kim Jong-Un friendship come about? In a televised sit down on This Week with Georgia Stephanopoulos (ABC), former NBA star, Dennis Rodman talked about his trip to North Korea, to which he spent two days with the newly North Korea dictator. They seemingly talked about various things, and of course basketball was one of them. Kim Jong-Un declared his love for basketball to Rodman, who has retired from the NBA, having played for several NBA teams such as the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks.
The basketball talk lead Rodman to sharing a similarity between Kim Jong-Un and United States President Barack Obama. And that was of course…BASKETBALL! Rodman said that he told Jong-Un that the game of basketball could be the starting place of a conversation between the North Korea dictator and the American president, to which Jong-Un said “Have Obama to call me.”
“[Kim] loves basketball. And I said the same thing, I said, ‘Obama loves basketball.’ Let’s start there,” Rodman said.
Will Dennis Rodman be the one who’ll get President Obama to even consider calling the man who wants to destroy America? On the contrary and all politics aside, Dennis Rodman made HISTORY, being the first American to meet Kim Jong-Un. Perhaps he didn’t find Rodman a threat. No pond attended! Rodman plans to take more trips to North Korea in light of his new friendship with the North Korean dictator.
“I’m not like a diplomat,” Rodman said. “I’m [going to] go back, do one thing and find out more, what’s going on. Find out more.”
See Rodman’s interview regarding his visit to North Korea below.

A few weeks after announcing his return to music, with his upcoming The 20/20 Experience album, and releasing the first single, Suit & Tie featuring Jay-z, Justin Timberlake releases the accompanying first video. The video is missing Mr. Carter but the visual is dope nevertheless. Combining the black and white theme with the lyric video theme was an innovative twist on both old ideas. Very smooth and creative. I guess Mr. Timberlake is gonna show you a few thangs….show a few things….
It’s been a long time since the Nsync frontman, Justin Timberlake dropped a solo record. But here in 2013, and it seems that the kid is back with a new single, Suit and Tie. It appears he’s letting us know that he’s back and on his grown man, as he starts off the song crooning, “I be on my suit and tie ish”, as the beat drags in a Texas chopped and screwed fashion before speeding up a little for J.T. to rock out the melody in a Mayer Hawthorne type swag because Mr. Sean ‘Jay Z’ Carter kicks his flow back down to the Texas chopped and screwed fashion. Both men are on their Suit & Tie ish. Both married to a hot chick. One wonder they’re on their Suit & Tie ish.

The Atown legend and 1/2 of the almighty OutKast, Big Boi, has decided to add a verse to ‘Pink Matter’ off of Frank Ocean’s critically acclaimed 2012 debut, Channel Orange. The track, which features the other half of Outkast Andre 3000, was reportedly supposed to feature both members in the original version. Andre 3000 reportedly begged against it because he wanted the next song featuring both members to be a ‘proper’ Outkast song. I know that Big Boi’s new verse won’t bother too many fans as it seems this is the closet we’ll get to a proper Outkast release in the near future. SouFside, East Point, fellow TCHS alums standup…everyone else enjoy…
A day after it was announced that Beyonce Knowles led R&B group, Destiny’s Child, were releasing a new album, Love Songs, they released the bonus track. The track is produced by super producer Pharrell, of Neptunes and N.E.R.D. fame. The song features silky smooth vocals from Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle with lyrics about a couple who are unique alone but find great chemistry together. The backdrop is reminiscent of late 80s/early 90s R&B dance tracks. Their fans may find this first single to be slower than expected but I believe it will grow on them…and everyone else…I mean, it is Beyonce…
The hip hop world was extremely happy when what many call the God MC aka Nas and pop sensation Kelis tied the knot back in 2003. Yet when the divorce was publicized in 2009, hearts were broken. So was Nas. On the contrary, Nas and his now ex-wife have been seen together a lot recently, making fans curious to what’s going on with those two. Are they back together? Is it for the love of their son? What’s really going on?
The Queens MC set down with Hot 97 FM and gave the 411 regarding he and his baby momma. She say that her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, so is Nas going back?
Check out Nas’ interview on Hot 97FM.
Kendrick Lamar “Backseat Freestyle” video
Martin had a dream! Martin had a dream! Kendrick had a dream!…..
Kendrick Lamar releases his second video from his critically acclaimed debut album, “good kid, m.A.A.d. city”. The Hitboy produced single, ‘Backseat Freestyle’, gets a black and white backdrop from Paris and Kendrick’s hometown, Compton. Also, there is a very humorous cameo from Kendrick’s father who smokes weed, reps Chicago despite wearing a Compton hat, and chastises his son about his missing dominoes pieces. Oh, and Sherane…..

Is Kendrick Lamar the future of hip-hop
Even though the cost of hearing aids may not be a concern for me today, blasting Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, MAAD City album on Dr Dre Headphones may cause hearing problems in the near future. Just joking, but dude is a lyrical genius if you ask me. Compared to artist such as Nas and Andre 3000, is Kendrick Lamar the future of hip-hop? What do you think? Don’t be afraid to leave a comment on this one. Your opinion counts!
I got shot 5 times but I’m still breathing Living proof there’s a God – if you need a reason. – 2Pac – Letter To My Unborn Child
No Rick Ross didn’t get shot and God forbid it happens. But is the BOSS TALK too much to which it could make him a target for hoodlums? Ross had tour to which he then cancelled. He says it was do to an due with a promoter. Yet it’s rumored that it was because of death threats by members of a southside Chicago street gang that goes by the name Gangster Disciples.
In response to the death threat talk, the MMG rapper and CEO stated that he’s a certified man, a real boss and this is something that everybody needs to understand. Could those words right there get the bawse, as he pronounces it, tested? God forbid.
