What Went Down at Big Boi’s ‘In The A’ video shoot? (video)

Outkast Big Boi’s new album Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors is in stores now. The album is dope. One of my home team favorites is In The A, ft. T.I. & Ludacris. One three of them went H.A.M. on that joint. But did any of you hear what happened at the video shoot? Being that I’m over here in Beijing, China right now, I’m missing all of the action. So I gotta keep up with what’s happening in my home via word of mouth and internet, thanks to this VPN (Virtual Private Network) I’m using to log into sites the Chinese government censors. Anyway, tonight is a good night for my VPN to work. Shouts out to Big Boi, T.I. and Luda for putting together a vid for this joint. If hadn’t done this, we wouldn’t be catching any of the ratchet action that went down at the shoot. LOL!

Shyne’s pass to California has been REVOKED!
Rapper Shyne should have thought twice before going on a twitter rant about Kendrick Lamar’s g.o.o.d. kid, m.A.A.d city album, calling it trash because now, them boys in killa Cali got their eye on him saying that he better not step foot on California soil. The first to speak was Nipsey Hussle. Hussle via twitter had these words to say to the now Orthodox Jewish, former Bad Boy Records (Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs) eMcee.
“If Shyne ever make it bac to the states…somebody tell cuz his west coast pass is revoked.,” he tweeted. (Nipsey Hussle’s Twitter)
And if that wasn’t enough, Curren$y of New Orleans jumped in to spit his piece by saying these words: “What did shyne do? I was Watching American dad …. Missed errthang,” Spitta tweeted.
“F*ck no man….. Kendrick sh*t is slappin….”
“Definitely gonna think about that when I ride to those old shyne albums… Bummer man … I like all music that jams” (Curren$y’s Twitter)
Lamar’s homeboy and fellow rapper, Schoolboy Q finished him off by saying: “We all know @OriginalSHyne AIN’T EATIN!!!!! N*ggaH ain’t Had a Hot verse since 01,” Schoolboy tweeted.
“Surprise He got INTERNET”
“@OriginalSHyne ok mobster/jewisH man ima b quite” (Schoolboy Q’s Twitter)

“Do Ya Thing” Official Video – Gorillaz featuring Andre 3000 and James Murphy
This video has got to be the most witty-ish, creative driven form of musical art expression in a long time, considering that most music videos, mainly regarding the urban culture is just straight ‘in your face’ with it’s content. Not knocking Lady Gaga, yet when watching her videos, perhaps one things a recycled version of Madonna or perhaps Katy Perry’s the new Cyndi Lauper. While the imagery behind ‘Do Ya Thing’ is still a Gorillaz fashion, it’s star studded features (James Murphy and Andre 3000) add additional elements of creative influence with the unique of their own style.

Snoop Dogg & his son ‘Spanky Danky’ makes song together. Super Mario Bros (video)
Snoop is back on his Dogg ish, as he drop his latest video entitled, Super Mario Bros., which is based off the old Nintendo game of the same name. Looking at the title, one may think it’s a friendly game about a video game. But think again. The song is actually about PIMPIN. If anyone can rap about pimpin, then it’s Snoop D-O-double G. Not to mention, he brought a little surprise guest to the mix. His oldest son ‘Spank’ aka Spanky Danky (you wonder why) joins his Super dad on the track. Like father, like son.

LL Cool J showed burglar who’s ‘Bad’
If you’re just tuning into James Todd Smith, famously known as LL Cool J (Ladies Love Cool James), then you probably think of him as ‘Hollywood’ actor. However, real hip hop heads know him as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Times). Remember when the eMcee came with Bad (1987), it was heavy. Yet 25 years later, he’s letting us know that he still got it. So if you ever try breaking into LL’s home, think twice before you make the move.
LL Cool J came face-to-face with a burglary suspect in his home, and took the guy down with his own hands early this morning … TMZ has learned. According to law enforcement sources … the suspect entered LL’s Los Angeles area house around 2AM, but unfortunately for him the actor/rapper/badass was home. We’re told LL heard some commotion downstairs, went to check it out … and found the intruder. Sources say the intruder had tripped LL’s alarm system, but the “NCIS Los Angeles” star — who is a physical beast — decided to go hand-to-hand combat on the dude. (TMZ)

Erykah Badu and her sister, ‘Nayrok’ nude with The Flaming Lips (video)
Yes it is true. Remember when Badu walked through the Dallas, TX streets butt naked for her ‘Window Seat‘ video? Well she’s back with round 2 of the ‘birthday suit show down’. But this time, it’s her sister, Nayrok Badu bearing it all in their newly ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ video. The song itself is a remake of a 1957 folk song written by British political singer/songwriter Ewan MacColl for Peggy Seeger, who was later to become his wife. It’s remake is from the April 2012 of the Oklahoma psychedelic alternative rock band ‘The Flaming Lips’ Record Store Day collaborative double vinyl called ‘The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends’, and features Erykah Badu on the vocals, while the video, which also features Erykah and her sister Nayrok Badu. Combining both nudity and art, the Badu sister appear tastefully naked in the video. Yet have any of you seen the movie, ‘Think Like a Man’? Welll, try thinking like a man right now. LOL!
The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends also features collaborations with Bon Iver, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Ke$ha and more. A great album indeed.

Drake, Lil Wayne and Birdman ‘Disrespects’ Judaism in HYFR video (see making of the video below)
What has YMCMB done to Aubrey Graham’s ego. Dude is crazy talented I admit. But where’s the integrity? Where’s the respect? I’m by far not ‘holier than thou’ but is 2012 all about GOING OVERBOARD TO STAY RELEVANT? First Nicki Minaj with her RAUNCHY, less than classy ‘STUPID H@%’ song and video. Now DRAKE with this? From what I know about being Judaism, we’ll depending on one’s view of G-d is that, it’s nothing to be played with. I do hope many Jews see this video and speak out against Drake, his YMCMB and Universal Music Group about this mess. The late King of Pop, Michael Jackson was forced to alter his lyrics to ‘They Don’t Care About Us’ (Dangerous, 1991) because of the “Jew Me/Sue Me” line, to which many Jews cried out ‘antisemitism’. Although Drake is Jewish (African American father, Caucasian Jewish Canadian mother), it’s still distasteful and like spitting in the face of the patriarchs of the Jewish culture. I usually don’t go on an attack about one’s freedom of expression (First Amendment). Yet if you’re Jewish or have some understanding about the religion, then get what I’m saying.

Yeah man. It’s always good to see Andre 3000 on the scene being that he doesn’t do much interviews and does every now and then pop-ups on remixes of artists songs. Though it doesn’t appear that the half of Outkast member is crafting new ideas and music for a future Outkast alongside his partner in rhyme Big Boi aka Sir Lucious Left Foot, he is currently involved in a Gillette Fusion electric razors campaign. And while working on a commercial for the popular razor brand, he took time out to give a short interview about the meaning behind style as well as deciding to let his hair grow out.
