Have you heard the new Ray J song yet? Ray J may have himself a hit with this new single I Hit It First. Listening to the lyrics, its very clear that he is talking about Kim Kardashian. Ray J and Kim dated a few years back and in 2003 they made a sex tape. In 2007, Ray J went public by selling the tape to Vivid Entertainment for 5 million dollars. The infamous video went viral and soon after Kim Kardashian became a household name. After dating stars such as Reggie Bush, Nick Canon, and Kris Humphries, Kim now dates mega hip-hop superstar Kanye West. As a reminder and a slap in the face to Kanye and Kim, Ray J released this song a couple of months ago and finally dropped the new video.

Jennifer Lopez is back at it again, hitting the studio with some more stars while recording her 10th album. J.Lo tweeted last night (March 21) about a late night studio session with Chris Brown and producer Corey Rooney.
Jennifer tweeted a picture of her posing with Chris and Corey along with the caption, “#studiolife #makinghistory #Album10 #SAMEGIRL.” via the YBF Corey was also the producer behind her hit “Jenny From the Block” so it seems like J. Lo is trying to recreate some that that old school magic once again for her latest project. Corey tweeted “Shit got real serious up in here tonight…” promising J.Lo’ s next album to be something to look forward to.
In addition to enlisting Chris Brown, she also has the help of Future which we learned last month after she tweeted some studio pictures with the Atlanta rapper.

John Legend Drops New Single ‘The Beginning’

Seems like most members of the G.O.O.D. Music team are currently prepping new music. On Tuesday (March 19) John Legend dropped a new single called “The Beginning” via Twitter. According to Okayplayer, the single will be featured on his upcoming project, Love in the Future. This will mark his fourth studio album, which will see Kanye West and Dave Tozer as executive producers.
Legend also worked with Hit Boy, who produced his last single “Caught Up” (co-written by West) that will be featured on his forthcoming album. “You’ve been waiting long enough, this is just “The Beginning,” he wrote as he shared the track.
Next to his music, the singer seems to be all smiles these days. Last month, he showed off his new LA home with fiancée and model, Chrissy Teigen. In their interview with Architectural Digest, he described the style they were going for in their new digs. “Our style is chic and tailored but also earthy and casual,” he said. “Since this is our first home in Los Angeles, we wanted it to feel right not only for us but also for this city.”

The track, which features the other half of Outkast Andre 3000, was reportedly supposed to feature both members in the original version. Andre 3000 reportedly begged against it because he wanted the next song featuring both members to be a ‘proper’ Outkast song. A day after it was announced that Beyonce Knowles led R&B group, Destiny’s Child, were releasing a new album, Love Songs, they released the bonus track. The track is produced by super producer Pharrell, of Neptunes and N.E.R.D. fame. The song features silky smooth vocals from Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle with lyrics about a couple who are unique alone but find great chemistry together. The backdrop is reminiscent of late 80s/early 90s R&B dance tracks. Their fans may find this first single to be slower than expected but I believe it will grow on them…and everyone else…I mean, it is Beyonce…

After a nearly decade long hiatus, Destiny’s Child is releasing an album. Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are preparing to release their 14-track Love Songs project on Jan. 22. The new LP will feature thirteen of Destiny’s Child’s most popular ballads and one new song “Nuclear” featuring Pharrell Williams.
Early Thursday, Jan. 10 several Beyoncé fan sites like BeyonceLite got wind of the new project.

Prior to the Love Songs news, Beyoncé made headlines for her full spread in GQ magazine. In her interview with the publication, the wife, mother and singer detailed her time in the spotlight and her need to perform. “I love my job, but it’s more than that: I need it,” said Beyoncé. “Because before I gave birth, it was the only time in my life, all throughout my life, that I was lost. [...] “It’s like a blackout. When I’m onstage, I don’t know what the crap happens. I am gone.”

In this country, we have so many other issues that are much more important like: the struggling economy, high crime rate, and education just to name a few. That’s just my opinion, what’s yours?

Yes it is true. Remember when Badu walked through the Dallas, TX streets butt naked for her ‘Window Seat‘ video? Well she’s back with round 2 of the ‘birthday suit show down’. But this time, it’s her sister, Nayrok Badu bearing it all in their newly ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ video. The song itself is a remake of a 1957 folk song written by British political singer/songwriter Ewan MacColl for Peggy Seeger, who was later to become his wife. It’s remake is from the April 2012 of the Oklahoma psychedelic alternative rock band ‘The Flaming Lips’ Record Store Day collaborative double vinyl called ‘The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends’, and features Erykah Badu on the vocals, while the video, which also features Erykah and her sister Nayrok Badu. Combining both nudity and art, the Badu sister appear tastefully naked in the video. Yet have any of you seen the movie, ‘Think Like a Man’? Welll, try thinking like a man right now. LOL!
The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends also features collaborations with Bon Iver, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Ke$ha and more. A great album indeed.

This has got to be one of the most sexiest yet classiest videos that has been out in a while. Naw let me not say that because my girlfriend Shakira would be upset with me. What could be said is that J. Lo is pushing her own umbrella or perhaps letting these young girls know how to don’t stop get it get it. Notice the song’s title is ‘Dance Again’. Maybe there’s a hidden message there, as Goodie M.O.B. once declared, ‘people don’t dance no moe.’

El Debarge Arrested For Drugs
According to Los Angeles Times, r&b singer El Debarge was arrested for drugs this week. El Debarge, an recovering drug addict was charged with drug posession with intent to distribute. The arrest was made by undercover narcotic officers during a sting operation. I’m assuming that he was getting the drugs for personal use, however he will have to deal with an intent to distribute charge which carries more time if convicted.
