And those I don’t know this woman, nor her husband, it’s heartbreaking to even report this story. So I’m going to conclude it by saying this; from Beijing, China by way of Atlanta, Georgia, R.I.P. to Jennifer Longworth and her husband, John Dion Longworth. November, 2008 when then Senator Barack Obama was elected President of the United States of America in his win against Senate John McCain, had to be one of the proudest moments of modern black and American history. The face of America changed right before our very eyes and many were proud of being alive to witness something so momentous. Fast forward to four years later, the joy is much louder as President Barack Obama has been re-elected and will seat four more years in office in his presidency due to his victory over Republican candidate Mitt Romney. A joyous moment for many but dissatisfying for some, and a chance to ridicule, point fingers and make slay comments for others, not absent of Donald Trump.
When President Barack Obama won his first presidential run-off, there were comments such as “black people no longer have an excuse” and “Barack Obama is the black people’s reparation for slavery”. On one hand, President Obama’s win does indeed mean much for black people concerning American history in government. But does his re-election count for all this black? Not in my book. Though exceedingly proud, his win doesn’t change the hate in people’s heart concerning black people in general. Even the hate that “closet racists” have spill out, and will do so for the next four years. I don’t see society being less messed up for blacks than before anyone ever knew who a BARACK OBAMA was. The police will still hate us. We’ll still be seen as ‘N—gers’, even though our ancestors built the great country America with their own blood, sweat and tears. Job opportunities will still be at minimum for us, even if qualified. Sorry if I seem like a pessimist; yet I’m just stating the facts. If looking at what his re-election mean today, than I’d say, it means he and his family can enjoy the wealth of their ancestor’s labor. And though many of our black ancestors never stepped foot on nor off a slave ship, we share in the burden for the pain the was caused as well as the joy of what strength allows us to conquer.
Congratulations to President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Bidden and the Obama/Bidden family.

WOWWWWW. This is something else. That’s why you have to be careful about whom you choose to mate with for the rest of your life before tying the knot. Or should I say use wisdom before laying with that woman/man. One wrong decision could ruin the rest of your life. Ask this man in China who sued his wife for giving birth to what he considers to being an “ugly” baby. And guess what, he WON. Big too. The court awarded him 748,764.00 Chinese Yuan, which is equivalent to $120,000.00.
Upon the baby’s birth, Feng noticed that the baby was … ugly. So ugly, in fact, that Feng couldn’t believe that the little girl he was seeing came from the beautiful woman he married. He reportedly accused his wife of adultery, since the baby looked nothing like either of her parents. He insisted that his wife tell him who the real father of the ugly baby was.
The wife insisted that the baby did look like her. Or at least, what she used to look like.
Feng’s wife admitted to having over $100,000 worth of intensive plastic surgery before she met and married him. The surgery completely altered the way that she appeared. Obviously, her genes were passed on to her baby girl, but not the genes that Feng was expecting … or wanted.
Should the court have gotten involved in the matter or should this issue be between the husband and wife?

Cocaine Godmother Griselda Blanco Murdered
Griselda Blanco, known to the world as the “Cocaine Godmother,” was gunned down by two assassins on motorcycles in Columbia, the Miami Herald reports.
Blanco was leaving a butcher shop in Medellin, her hometown, when two gunmen on motorcycles pulled up and fired several shots into her. One of the gunmen shot two bullets into her head at point blank range. She was with her pregnant daughter-in-law, who left the attack unscathed.
Her death was confirmed by Columbia’s national police late Monday night. Ironically, she is credited with the style of of assassination that took her own life. Blanco was known for sending gunmen on motorcycles to kill off her enemies.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. — Jerry Sandusky entered the Centre County Courthouse Friday as one of the most celebrated figures in the history of Penn State sports. He left a convicted child molester.
Following two days of jury deliberations, Sandusky was found guilty Friday of molesting several young boys.
The 68-year-old could spend the rest of his life in prison.
Sandusky was convicted of 45 of 48 criminal counts related to the alleged assault of 10 boys over a 15-year period. The allegations led to the ouster of the late Penn State University president and long-time coach Joe Paterno, who died in January.
Prosecutors said Sandusky was a “predatory pedophile” and a “sick, disturbed man,” who targeted “the most vulnerable kids, kids in need.”
Defense lawyer Joe Amendola said Sandusky was the victim of a grand conspiracy and that prosecutors provided no physical evidence to prove he had molested anyone. Because of the allegations, “everything [Jerry Sandusky] ever loved, everything he’s ever built, and everything he’s ever stood for — it’s gone,” Amendola said.

It looks like “Ni**as in Paris” is pretty popular in the city of lights. French presidential candidate, Francois Hollande, picked the song as the soundtrack to his campaign video. The three-minute long piece features Hollande traveling around the street of France doing the typical political two-step, showing a range of citizens from various cultural backgrounds, speaking to a group of cheering supporters, and visiting low-income neighborhoods. Being that he holds a 12-point lead against current president Nicolas Sarkozy, his choice to use Jay and Ye’s song is a pretty clear attempt at widening the campaign gap by getting in good with a multicultural group of voters.
Buttoned-up white guys aren’t the first images that come to mind when you think of the Hit-Boy-produced record, but Hollande isn’t the only person outside of the hip-hop game to show their love for tack. Last September, 30 Rock Star Alec Baldwin tweeted about the song, joking that he and Mr. West were working on a “N-**as In Montauk” version.
No word yet on how The Throne feels about the use of the song, but maybe they’ll invite Hollande to their Paris show in June for a live collaboration.

R.I.P Whitney Houston
We are only in the second week of Black History month and we already loss two icons in music. First it was Don Cornelius, now we are grieving the loss of female r&b and pop star Whitney Houston. Whitney Houston was pronounced dead yesterday February 11, 2012 at 3:55 pm. Her life was cut short at 48 years old and leaves behind her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown. According to social media, the cause of death is undetermined, however it could have been a possible drowning or prescription drug overdose. Whitney’s last performance was at a pre-Grammy party on Thursday somewhere near the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Whitney sold over 170 million albums, singles, and videos during her successful career. The Martacard.com family will like to give our condolences to Whitney Houston, a very influential superstar in music. R.I.P. Whitney Houston!!!!!

Murray was immediately handcuffed and sent to jail to await the sentencing. Media coverage shows people all around the world rejoicing over the news. Murray is looking at four years of prison and having his his medical license revoked. If Michael Jackson was addicted to prescription drugs, who’s at fault? Do you think Dr. Murray had a fair trial? No one will take issue with the official Apple statement that “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”
It had taken a while for the world to realize what an amazing treasure Steve Jobs was. But Jobs knew it all along. That was part of what was so unusual about him. From at least the time he was a teenager, Jobs had a freakish chutzpah. At age 13, he called up the head of HP and cajoled him into giving Jobs free computer chips. It was part of a lifelong pattern of setting and fulfilling astronomical standards. Throughout his career, he was fearless in his demands. He kicked aside the hoops that everyone else had to negotiate and straightforwardly and brazenly pursued what he wanted. When he got what he wanted — something that occurred with astonishing frequency — he accepted it as his birthright.
If Jobs were not so talented, if he were not so visionary, if he were not so canny in determining where others had failed in producing great products and what was necessary to succeed, his pushiness and imperiousness would have made him a figure of mockery.

One way to eliminate the stress in your liife includes exercise. Its been proven that lack of exercise and a sedentary lifestyle have been tied to the increase in high stress level and premature aging. It does not have to be anything intense and a brisk. A 15 minute walk several times a week will do wonders for stress reduction and healthy aging. Another stress reduction technique is listening to relaxing music. This can be done with a good book or while meditating as meditation has been found to be a very effective stress reduction technique. Make an effort to frequently take time out for yourself; it could be some alone time at the park.

Some of the World Trade Center debris was sent to the Fresh Kills Landfill on Staten Island. This landfill had been closed to new additions on March 22, 2001, but was temporarily reopened to receive and process much of the debris from the destruction of the World Trade Center. The debris contained the remains of many of the victims; much of it in the form of dust and small fragments. In August 2005, 17 plaintiffs, claiming to have support from 1,000 other relatives, filed a case in court to have the City of New York move nearly one million tons of material to another location where it would be sifted and placed in a cemetery.
