At first glance at this new song by Drake entitled “Girls Love Beyonce” I thought to myself, “another typical Drake song” smh. But then I pressed play and was immediately captivated by the production of this joint. The beat kinda gave me a r&b type vibe to set the mood while Drake’s rhyme flow complimented the track. It’s been reported that the Latina pop singer has signed to Roc Nation (Jay Z) management team. Da*n Jay, you got all the hunnies man; Beyonce (wifey), Rihanna, Melanie Fiona and now reportedly SHAKIRA.
The superstar Colombian singer has signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for management, XXLMag.com has learned. The news definitely marks a coup for Roc Nation. With worldwide appeal, Shakira has sold more than 60 million albums and won 12 Billboard Latin Music Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards. With the signing to Roc Nation for management, Shakira joins the likes of Rihanna, Wale, Santigold and Melanie Fiona, who are all signed under Roc Nation’s management umbrella. Managed producers under Roc Nation include Jahlil Beats, No I.D. and S1. Signed Roc Nation artists of course include the company’s founder, Jay-Z, J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Rita Ora and Willow Smith, the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. (XXL Mag)

Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Jay Z welcomes Blue Ivy Carter
Oh ish, I’m late. Jay and Beezy had their kid. Congratulations to the Hovas as they introduce Blue Ivy Carter to the world. No pictures has been released yet; however, the husband and wife couple released an official statement on Monday, writing, “We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.” “Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven,” they add in the statement. “She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs. and it was the best experience of both of our lives.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

I know Beyonce’s “Party” has been a strong topic this week on Martacard, well the video premiered this week and it was ok. I do believe Andre 3000 would have brought more character to the video however it was a better business move for J Cole and Roc Nation.

Is Andre 3000 Falling Off?
Word on the streets is that Andre 3000 is falling off. People are saying that his verse on Beyonce “Party” is weak. Everybody that knows me personally, know that I’m a big Outkast fan, so they try to debate with me about any mediocre verse that 3 Stacks deliver. My opinion on this song, Andre could have came with a better verse but I don’t think he’s falling off though. What do you think?

Did Destiny Child Reunite? Sort of. Kelly Rowland had her “Here I Am” album release party and both of her Destiny Child sister/group mates, Beyonce and Michelle Williams, were in attendance to support their girl. Good to see the love these girls have for each other without being together as a group. MOTIVATION!

Was chilling over at C & G Barbershop over in East Point, GA last weekend with the barbers up there, who happen to be friends of mine. As usual, we were discussing music and when I mentioned that Andre Benjamin bka Andre 3000, one half of Outkast went H.A.M. on the titled tracked ‘Party’ of Beyonce’s 4 album (which drops today by the way), the homeboyz went off on me.
