What does a Suge Knight and Snoop Lion reconciliation mean?
Well surely you’ve all heard by now the BREAKING NEWS regarding the reconciliation of one time partners, Suge Knight and Snoop Lion aka/formerly known as Snoop D-O-double G, who started his music career via Knight and former partner Dr. Dre’s then label, Death Row Records imprint. Clearly it’s the most surprising reconciliation ever to date in music and hip hop history, topping the once heavy beef that was squashed by the two Kings of New York, Nas and Jay Z, as the Jigga Man stunned the crowd on the set of his “I Declare War” concert(1995) in East Rutherford , NJ when saying these words, “Let’s Go Esco”, to which the Queensbridge eMCee joined him on stage. Not many music moguls can celebrate a reunion or reconciliation as egos are way too heavy, especially in hip hop. In the words of Sleepy Brown “Cuz everybody wants to be a tough guy”. Another reason is that either one of both artists, crews, etc. are now deceased, some in tragic situations before there could ever be an official reunion. And another serious issue is MONEY. Many artists are enslaved to their labels and any association or reunion with a former comrade, according the label, ruins the possibility to make more money. So for that matter, those artists tends to ride for their label, bearing the pain of not being able to reconnect with their old homies again.
As for the case with Suge and Snoop, who’s long period infamous beef didn’t end with neither of them getting killed, THANK GOD; what happens next? What does their reunion mean to all whom stood by either or both throughout the last 16/17 years of the two being at odds? What are people saying about Suge? What are they saying about Snoop? For many, Suge is one of the most feared men on the face of the earth, while Snoop on the other hand, is the world’s favorite UNCLE, can do whatever he wants, including CHANGING HIS NAME (see Snoop Lion) and no one will trip. What does this mean for Snoop’s relationship with is mentor Dr. Dre and Tha Dogg Pound? What does this mean for the Bloods & Crips street gang?
Regardless whether it has any meaning or not, PEACE is BETTER THAN WAR. Hey, they may never become the best of friends again. However, they both can exhale. To give meaning to their reconciliation, it’s their business and they don’t have to answer to anyone for that matter. Was it a none gangster move for them to PEACE UP? Naw, what it did was SOLIDIFY what it means to be gangster. And at the end of the day, BEEFING DOES NOTHING BUT WASTE TIME!. So what happens next between the two? Guessing we’ll have to wait and see. Yet in the meantime, SALUTE to Suge Knight and Snoop Lion for being “G” about it.
Bigg Run P and BO ( Break Out) performs @ Section 6 Hip Hop Party @ LIVE MAO HOUSE, in Beijing

There was a hip hop showcase at Mao Livehouse in Beijing, China which I was honored to perform in alongside my homeboy B.O. (Break Out) from Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky (Russia). It was also our first time performing together. The unique part about it is that I can’t even speak Russian. Yet the coolest part about it all is that two dudes from two different sides of the planet with two different native languages can get together and put on a CLASSIC performance. Be on the look out for more coming from us. In the meantime:
Enjoy!
MartaCard.com exclusive interview w/ former Aftermath Entertainment artist, Bishop Lamont

I had the wonderful privilege to chop game with the bigg homie Bishop Lamont, representing Carson, California. Lamont was once signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label and is now an independent artist and CEO of Diocese Records. His latest street album, The Layover features a slew of artists from both the West and East coast, such as Focus, Raekwon the Chef (Wu Tang Clan), Planet Asia, and former Ruff Ryder affiliate, DMX to name a few. Prior to the 2012 reelection of the United States of America’s president, Barack Obama, Lamont with a comedic twist, went in on former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, stating how things would have gotten messed up if he was voted president. The brother is definitely prolific and indeed one of the most UNDERRATED eMcees in hip hop, let along the West Coast, which has been overshadowed by gangsta rapper music since it’s start nearly 30 years ago. He enlightened me on some profound things, including the current start of hip hop as well as the meaning behind some of his previous materials; Hallelujah, ft. Xzibit being one of them. He also broke name the meaning of a word that he considers more powerful and derogative than the ‘N’ word. In this near 16 minute phone recorded interview, you’ll get to hear the Bishop Lamont you’ve always wanted to know. YA DIGGGG!
Check out Bigg Run P’s MartaCard.com exclusive interview w/ Bishop Lamont below.
Illuminate – Ab-Soul ft Kendrick Lamar
Illuminate – Ab-Soul ft Kendrick Lamar
Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ab-Soul has barsssss. His independent album, Control System, was arguably one of the most underrated projects of 2012. of the standout tracks was the lyrical trading of bars with his TDE brethren, Kendrick Lamar. This visual is as creative as they come. Enjoy…
Is Kendrick Lamar the future of hip-hop
Is Kendrick Lamar the future of hip-hop
Even though the cost of hearing aids may not be a concern for me today, blasting Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, MAAD City album on Dr Dre Headphones may cause hearing problems in the near future. Just joking, but dude is a lyrical genius if you ask me. Compared to artist such as Nas and Andre 3000, is Kendrick Lamar the future of hip-hop? What do you think? Don’t be afraid to leave a comment on this one. Your opinion counts!

T.I. Behind the Scene of ‘Go Get It’ (video)
Since his release from prison nearly 2 years ago, King of the South otherwise known as T.I. has been grinding and gearing up for the release of his ‘Trouble Man’ album which will drop soon, though without a release date. One joint from the upcoming album is entitled ‘Go Get It’ to which the Grand Hustle CEO is working on a video for. Much of the video was shot at the Mozley Park community swimming pool, which is on the West side of Atlanta, Georgia. T.I. says the concept of the video is about how he used to kick it to how he’s kicking it now, which you’re able to get a sneak peak of it towards the end of the video’s making, which would make sense to be the same for the authentic release.
See the behind the scene footage of T.I.’s ‘Go Get It’ video below.
Kanye West – New God Flow ft. Pusha T (Explicit)
CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYY! They came hard with this one. Must get that G.O.O.D. Music compilation (Cruel Summer) album when it drops August 7. West KILLED an acappella verse to his newly ‘New God Flow’ joint at the BET Awards on Sunday night. The track is assisted by label signee, Pusha T (The Clipse), who starts it off.

Big Boi Ft. UGK & Big K.R.I.T. “Gossip”
After releasing his critically acclaimed ‘Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty’ album, Big Boi, 1/2 of Outkast, is back with a new single entitled ‘Gossip’, which is lifted from his upcoming ‘Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors’ album. The track features Big K.R.I.T., Bun B and the late Pimp C (UGK). Gossip was premiered on the Greg Street (WVEE, V-103) 6′oclock show in Atlanta, GA. ‘Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors’ is set to be released November, 2012.
Check out Big Boi Ft. UGK & Big K.R.I.T. “Gossip” below.
The ‘Outkast’ song that didn’t make Big Boi’s: Sir Lucious Left Foot the Son of Chico Dusty album
“We tried to get everything solidified but Jive said, ‘Naw.” he explained. “Then I was going to take Dre off and make my own version [of Lookin for Ya], but then I thought, ‘No. F–k that. If he can’t be on it, then I’m not using it.” – Big Boi speaking of issues with Jive Records and Def Jam.
It’s clear that Jive Records nor Def Jam knew what they were doing when they didn’t let ‘Looking For Ya‘ with Big Boi, Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown make the album cut. Surely the record sales for the critically acclaimed ‘Sir Lucious Left Foot the Son of Chico Dusty’ album, which is far indeed better than a lot of albums coming from some of ‘today’s’ favorite rappers. Does Big Boi have a right to be pissed? Heck yeah he does. Think about it. No Outkast album has sold less anything less than platinum. And if 1 million is flop (speaking of the Idlewild soundtrack) then that’s the best-selliing flop in hip hop history.
Check out ‘Lookin 4 Ya’ by Big Boi featuring Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown.
Should Ma$e do this? Is this rap group for him?
WOWWWWWWWW. I don’t know what to say. I don’t care much about the “N” word as much as I care about the flow. Should he or shouldn’t he? You be the judge.

Kurupt – Let Off Ft Terrace Martin, ill Camille & Jay Rock
Straight BANGIN. All of them are KILLIN it for real. KURUPT’s a beast, and in my opininon, one of the most underrated eMcees on the West Coast. Not many can touch him on the MIC.
Check out Kurupt’s latest record, “Let Off” ft. Terrace Martin, ill Camille & Jay Rock.

Kendrick Lamar – The Recipe ft. Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre may be famous for not writing his own lyrics; however, he does know how to deliver. On this song alongside new Aftermath Entertainment signee Kendrick Lamar entitled ‘The Recipe’, the Doctor goes to work. And don’t sleep on K. L. who may be responsible for writing Dre’s verse. Dude is bad on the mic.
Check out Kendrick Lamar’s ‘The Recipe’ ft. Dr. Dre.
Tyler, The Creator disses MC Lyte yet fails to apologize
Tyler is a talented brother and I do understand his I don’t give a you know what image. However, people with that I don’t give a you know what mentality needs to start giving a you know what sometimes; especially in terms of whom they go after and not go after. But then again, Tyler does have a point.
“I don’t know if she’s gay or not,” Tyler said referring to Lyte. “It was a joke. But if she took offense, so be it — I’m not gonna apologize, but I didn’t mean for her feelings to get hurt. Usually people in that position, you’d think they would laugh it off and go on with their day. But I guess she caught feelings. I didn’t mean to do that, but whatever.” (Drama Like The DJ)
Yet then again, I’m also feel what the queen MC Lyte is saying as well.
“Well, the point is just ’cause words rhyme or sound alike doesn’t mean I need to be your stomping ground. So I do have to take it personally, unfortunately whether he meant it personally or not. I’m sure there was a more tactful way, if in fact skilled, you can deliver a rhyme on your own account and not involve me in the shenanigans.” (HHDX)
While brief with the reference, Tyler’s diss appears on the new OF Tape Vol. 2. project.
“See these girls talkin’ all that sh*t (What?)/I’m just tryna see some t*ts (What?)/,” Tyler raps, “Let’s get it poppin’ like, MC Lyte, around some dykes/I’m, out this b*tch like hocus pocus/And me and Lucas got a couple of pickles” (“Rella”)
Check out Odd’s Future interview below with DJ Drama and hear what he had to say about the MC Lyte diss.

Music artist has just dropped the BOMB video. Makes you want to dance like right now.
Take a look at D’Banj’s ‘Oliver Twist’ video below and check to see what artists appear throughout the video.
The New Hip-Hop
If Lil Wayne would have worn some Wolverine boots in “The Motto” video, he would not have been criticized so much about his wardrobe. Shortly after that video, Kanye West surprised the hip-hop world when he appeared in the Ni… In Paris video wearing a black kilt. In Atlanta eyes, Kanye had on a black skirt, black leggings, ball cap, and sneakers. Is this the new dress code for hip-hop or what?
