“I love him. He’s awesome. I don’t condone what he does … [but] as a person to person – he’s my friend.” – Dennis Rodman speaking about Kim Jong-Un
Did he really say that? Did Dennis Rodman really say that Kim Jong-Un is his friend? How did this Rodman-Kim Jong-Un friendship come about? In a televised sit down on This Week with Georgia Stephanopoulos (ABC), former NBA star, Dennis Rodman talked about his trip to North Korea, to which he spent two days with the newly North Korea dictator. They seemingly talked about various things, and of course basketball was one of them. Kim Jong-Un declared his love for basketball to Rodman, who has retired from the NBA, having played for several NBA teams such as the Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks.
The basketball talk lead Rodman to sharing a similarity between Kim Jong-Un and United States President Barack Obama. And that was of course…BASKETBALL! Rodman said that he told Jong-Un that the game of basketball could be the starting place of a conversation between the North Korea dictator and the American president, to which Jong-Un said “Have Obama to call me.”
“[Kim] loves basketball. And I said the same thing, I said, ‘Obama loves basketball.’ Let’s start there,” Rodman said.
Will Dennis Rodman be the one who’ll get President Obama to even consider calling the man who wants to destroy America? On the contrary and all politics aside, Dennis Rodman made HISTORY, being the first American to meet Kim Jong-Un. Perhaps he didn’t find Rodman a threat. No pond attended! Rodman plans to take more trips to North Korea in light of his new friendship with the North Korean dictator.
“I’m not like a diplomat,” Rodman said. “I’m [going to] go back, do one thing and find out more, what’s going on. Find out more.”

President Obama just can’t get a break. From congress, the senate, republicans, common people and leaders in the black community to name a few, everyone seems to be going in on President Barack Obama. One of them is professor, orator and author, Dr. Cornel West, who’s upset that the president placed his hands on the Bible of the late civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while taking the oath during the inauguration of his second term for United States presidency. Cornel West said that the people of Dr. King shouldn’t be played with; the people who stand for liberty, truth and justice. He said it’s ok to put his hand on a Bible, but when it’s “Martin’s Bible”, it’s a little bit personal for him.
Do you think Professor Cornel West should be angry at President Barack Obama for using the Bible of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to take his presidential oath?

Once he got elected and my critique of him — about holding him accountable to various things didn’t sit so well with him or the people around him — he has not, at this point, come on my TV or radio programs one time since he’s been in this White House.”
