Two years after releasing their Fan of a Fan mixtape, Tyga and Chris Brown are looking to recapture the magic that scored them a Grammy nod last year. The Young Money MC announced the news via Twitter Wednesday (April 20). ”Fan of a Fan 2!!! @ChrisBrown @Tyga Coming Soon!!” he wrote.
Both have been busy with their solo careers, since dropping the mixtape in 2010. Brown unleashed F.A.M.E. last March, earning the RB crooner three Grammy’s at this year’s ceremony. The album also marked his official comeback following the bad press he received after his attack on Rihanna in 2009.
Tyga released his long-delayed Carless World: Rise of the last King album in February. Powered by the success of singles “Rack City,” and “Make it Nasty,” the record debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s album charts. The 22-year-old has run into a bunch of issues leading up to, and following, the release, including getting arrested, and being shot at after a concert in Omaha, Nebraska.
No word yet on when the Fan of a Fan 2 mixtape will see the light of day.
MORE ON HIP-HOP WIRED!
This song is gettin massive radio play in Atlanta right now. I just stumbled across the video and wanted to share it with my viewers. Check out Travis Porter “Ayy Ladies” ft. Tyga!!
What in the hell does Lil Wayne have in this video? Are they lime green Ugg boots or what??? He is one of the dopest mc’s in the game right now, but he’s trippin wit these boots mane. Listening to this song, I think Drake snapped the hardest. However, all the verses were tight. Young Money has some of the best beats in the business right now. Check out the video and feel free to leave a comment!!
Young Money has the game on lock if you ask me. They have the hottest beats and some of the dopest artist. Tyga got him something with this song. You can’t help but to like it after you see the ladies go crazy when the song comes on. Rack City……
Everybody laughed and thought R&B, pop singer Chris Brown was on some ‘look at me’ type mess when he dyed his hair blonde a few months ago. Yet following in his footsteps was Young Money, Cash Money rapper, collaborator and friend of C Breezy, Tyga, who was next in line to get the blonde-do. Now to keep it going, Soulja Boy Tell’em is rocking the blonde look. Yet you want to know what I wonder? Is he doing this to keep himself relevant due to a flopped album? I mean, if I were to sell only 13,000 copies of my album on a MAJOR LABEL, then I would probably do something to keep all eyes on me too. Or maybe, this is one of the trends for 2011.
